Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. The centers may look slightly underbaked.
Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
If you don't want to cook them right away, scoop them on to some parchemnt paper and place in freezer until ready to use.
